Getting to Loango
Loango is located just off the West Coast of Central Gabon and reaching it entails the following journey:
Step One Arrive in Libreville, Gabon’s capital city. We do not take charge of international flights but we will advise on the best options.
Most clients arrive in the evening then spend one night in the capital before heading to Loango the following morning.
Our trusted hotel in Libreville is La Residence Hoteliere du Phare, ideally located close to the airport and right on the beach. With a superb beach bar & restaurant, guests only need to concentrate on relaxing in between their travels.
Step Two Domestic flight from Libreville to Port Gentil, Loango's closest city. The flight time is just 35 minutes. You will be greeted and looked after by your driver on arrival.
This will be an early morning departure from Libreville so you can get to Loango as quick as possible the same day.
Step Three Road transfer from Port Gentil to Loango. This takes approximately 3 hours, dependent on road conditions.
After being greeted at the park headquarters you will be transferred to one of the camps for lunch, settling-in, and your first adventure in Loango National Park
