Only a forty-five (45) minute drive from Mfuwe International Airport, in South Luangwa National Park, you will find Zikomo, an affordable eco lodge in an area away from other safari lodges, camps and accommodations. Zikomo Safari lodge is spread under a canopy of enormous shade trees on the banks of the Luangwa River. This is the only accommodation in the Nsefu Sector with affordable rates. Although the rates are reasonable, the focus of the Zikomo Safari team is on providing excellent, top quality service.

Luangwa River
The Luangwa River runs right next to Zikomo Safari Lodge. It is the bringer of all life to the area and a world-renowned wildlife haven. Here, at the height of the dry season, all the animals are drawn to the river. It is the perfect time to see the full wonder of this incredible place.
Concentrations of game along the meandering Luangwa River and its lagoons are amongst the most intense in Africa.

Zikomo Safari Lodge has its own crossing point which takes our guests right into the National park during dry season.
Day & Night Game Drives in the Main Gate area of South Luangwa National Park, Nsefu Sector, trips to see Chichele Hot Springs, the Stork Colony, Carmine Bee Eaters Nesting areas, hippo pods are all possible destinations on our drives. Walking Bush Tours In the adjacent island, nearby areas of the National Park. Tours to the local village, the Tribal Textiles Market, and the local wildlife rescue center.
